But what exactly is the Self-Generated Electricity Act, and why does it matter to every Filipino?

What is the Self-Generated Electricity Act?

The Self-Generated Electricity Act is a proposed law that aims to give Filipinos greater freedom to generate their own electricity using renewable and other distributed energy systems.

Instead of relying solely on electric distribution utilities, individuals, businesses, schools, farms, factories, and even entire communities could produce electricity for their own consumption.

Ang kanilang mga posisyon ay maaaring mag-iba depende sa ebidensiya, sa batas, at sa pananagutan nila sa publiko.

Sa isang demokrasya, mahalaga ang transparency upang mapanatili ang tiwala ng mamamayan.


Ang Mas Malaking Tanong

Ang tunay na tanong ay hindi:

"Magmimina ba tayo?"

Kundi:

"Ano ang gagawin natin sa silica?"

Kung mag-e-export lamang ang Pilipinas ng hilaw na silica, limitado ang halagang mananatili sa bansa.

Ngunit kung magkakaroon ng kakayahan ang Pilipinas na magproseso ng silica tungo sa mas mataas na antas ng manufacturing, mas malaki ang potensyal na:

  • kita

  • trabaho

  • teknolohiya

  • kasanayan ng manggagawa

  • pandaigdigang kompetisyon

Bagama't nangangailangan ito ng malaking puhunan, imprastraktura, at mataas na antas ng teknolohiya, ito ang uri ng value-added industry na mas nagbibigay ng pangmatagalang benepisyo.


Ang Balanse sa Pagitan ng Pag-unlad at Pangangalaga sa Kalikasan

Hindi kailangang mamili lamang sa pagitan ng ekonomiya at kalikasan.

Ang tunay na layunin ay ang responsable at napapanatiling pag-unlad.

Kabilang dito ang:

  • mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng batas

  • independiyenteng environmental monitoring

  • malinaw na konsultasyon sa mga komunidad

  • patas na pagbabahagi ng benepisyo

  • sapat na pondo para sa rehabilitasyon

  • pananagutan kapag may paglabag

Kung maisasagawa ang mga ito nang maayos, mas tataas ang kumpiyansa ng publiko at mas magiging balanse ang pagtingin sa proyekto.


Konklusyon

Ang PAX Silica ay hindi simpleng usapin ng pagmimina. Ito ay bahagi ng mas malaking pagbabago sa pandaigdigang ekonomiya kung saan lumalaki ang pangangailangan para sa silica dahil sa Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, renewable energy, at modernong teknolohiya.

Kasabay nito, mahalagang kilalanin ang mga pangamba tungkol sa kalikasan, kabuhayan, at pamamahala. Ang hamon ay hindi lamang kung paano kukuha ng likas na yaman, kundi kung paano ito pamamahalaan nang may pananagutan, transparency, at pangmatagalang pananaw.

Kung magiging responsable ang pagpapatupad at kung ang Pilipinas ay makakalikha ng mas mataas na halaga mula sa sarili nitong likas na yaman sa halip na mag-export lamang ng hilaw na materyales, maaaring maging mahalagang hakbang ang PAX Silica tungo sa mas matatag na ekonomiya at mas mataas na antas ng industriyalisasyon.

Sa huli, ang tagumpay o kabiguan ng proyektong ito ay hindi lamang nakasalalay sa dami ng silica sa ilalim ng lupa, kundi sa kalidad ng mga institusyon, sa tiwala ng mamamayan, at sa kakayahan ng bansa na pagsamahin ang pag-unlad ng ekonomiya at ang pangangalaga sa kalikasan.

May paniniwala din na gamit ang FB videos at Youtube ay kumikita siya sa views ng ads sa kanyang mga video.

Matatandaang dati na po siyang tumakbo bilang senador ngunit nireject ng comelec dahil isa daw itong nuisance candidate.

Mayroong sindikato umano sa likod ng modus ng pagpapasikat kay FLM. Si FLM ay ginamit lang nilang front. Marahil ay nakakagulat din ang bilis ng pagsikat ni FLM sa Social Media. Ito umano ay sa kadahilanang nagbabayad sila sa may ari ng mga DDS FB Group sa halagang 220,000.00 monthly upang mabilis na sumikat. Ang mga DDS daw kasi ay madaling mapaniwala o makuha ang simpatiya. Amazing Fact: The Worlds Youngest Mother

 
Lina Medina (born September 27, 1933, in Ticrapo, Huancavelica Region, Peru) is the youngest confirmed mother in medical history, giving birth at the age of five years, seven months and 17 days. She presently lives in Lima, the capital of Peru.

Born in Ticrapo, Peru, to silversmith Tiburelo Medina and Victoria Losea, Medina was brought to a hospital by her parents at the age of five years due to increasing abdominal size.

She was originally thought to have had a tumor, but her doctors determined she was in her seventh month of pregnancy. Dr. Gerardo Lozada took her to Lima, Peru, to have other specialists confirm that Medina was pregnant.

Contemporary newspaper accounts indicate that interest in the case developed on many fronts. The San Antonio Light newspaper reported in its July 16, 1939, edition—in anticipation of the girl's expected visit to U.S. university scientific facilities—that a national Peruvian obstetrician/midwife association had demanded that the girl be transported to a national maternity hospital; the paper quoted April 18 reports in the Peruvian paper La Crónica stating that a North American filmmaking concern sent a representative "with authority to offer the sum of $5000 to benefit the minor [in exchange for filming rights] ... we know that the offer was rejected.


"The same article, reprinted from a Chicago paper, noted that Lozada had made films of Medina for scientific documentation and had shown them around April 21 while addressing Peru's National Academy of Medicine; on a subsequent visit to visit Lina's remote hometown, some of the baggage carrying the films had been dropped into the river while crossing "a very primitive bridge": "Enough of his pictorial record remained, however, to intrigue the learned savants."

A month and a half after the original diagnosis, on May 14, 1939, Medina gave birth to a boy by a caesarean section necessitated by her small pelvis.

The surgery was performed by Lozada and Dr. Busalleu, with Dr. Colareta providing anaesthesia. Her case was reported in detail by Dr. Edmundo Escomel in the medical journal La Presse Médicale, including the additional details that hermenarche had occurred at eight months of age, in contrast to a past report stating that she had been having regular periods since she was three years old (or 2½ according to a different article). 

The report also detailed that she had prominent breast development by the age of four. By age five, her figure displayed pelvic widening and advanced bone maturation. When doctors performed the caesarean to deliver her baby, they found she already had fully mature sexual organs from precocious puberty.

Medina's son weighed 2.7 kg (6.0 lb; 0.43 st) at birth and was named Gerardo after her doctor. Gerardo was raised believing that Medina was his sister, but found out at the age of 10 that she was his mother. He grew up healthy but died in 1979 at the age of 40 of a bone marrow disease.

Baby-Shaped Pears Grow from Trees in China

A Chinese farmer cultivates an ordinary kind of fruit but with a mind-boggling twist. It’s by manipulating the growth of pears to have that figure of a baby. The question is how does he do it?

At first glance of the “baby pears”, you may mistake them for little Buddhas, right? One might also be confused in a way if seen on a counter top thinking that they are figurines.



One idea that we can presume is that he’s enclosing the young growing pears in split molds of some sort and waits for them to grow and mature. The pears then get the impressions of the molds. Well, I believe that’s the best possible procedure that I can think of. But, however he does it, it’s really beyond compare.

Unusual ingredients

Large companies have been the subject of rumors that they substitute unusual or unethical substances in their products, usually to decrease costs. McDonald's is not immune to such claims. 

Earthworms

Dating back to at least 1978, this rumor claims that McDonald's restaurants use earthworms in their hamburgers.
 

Cow eyeballs

One belief is that McDonald's uses cow eyeballs in its products, permitting it to brand them as "100% beef". However, the USDA mandates that all beef by-products, including cow eyeballs, be appropriately labeled. McDonald's, has asserted that its products contain "100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders." In addition, cow eyeballs are actually more expensive than the more commonly eaten cow parts, due to demand from scientific institutions for experiments.
A related claim is that McDonald's buys its meat from a company called "100% beef", making it possible for McDonald's to call beef by-products and soy products "100% beef".

Around March–April, 2000, an Internet rumor spread via e-mail in Brazil claimed that McDonald's meat was actually made from a genetically modified animal maintained in a laboratory. The e-mail stated that "the few who saw it assure it is a very unpleasant sight: they have no limbs or horns, no bones (undeveloped cartilage instead), no eyes, no tail and no fur; its head is about the size of a Baseball; they are fed through tubes connected directly into their stomach". 
 
 
 

Pig fat

This rumor is that McDonald's uses pig fat in its milkshakes, ice cream, and fried potatoes. McDonald's provides complete ingredient lists for all of its products on each of its regional websites: this includes unidentified fats within the ice cream used to make soft serve cones and sundaes. McDonald's Australia, however, specifically mentions that "there is definitely no lard or pig fat in the McDonald's Soft Serve. This rumor should not be confused with the fact that McDonald's has in the past used beef tallow as its frying oil.

There is a rumor in Australia that McDonald's Apple Pies were made of choko, not apples.] This eventually led them to emphasize the fact that real Granny Smith apples are used in McDonald's pies.

Real life Medusa Found Dead

Photos of alleged  real life dead Medusa is making the round online in Facebook and other social networking sites.

Medusa is found dead: Real or Fake Photos?


In Greek mythology, Medusa was a female monster or Gorgon described as having the face of a hideous human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. She is also known for turning someone into a stone by directly gazing into her eyes. 
The photos appeared to be as a female with snakes as her hair. She also seemed to look like a mermaid.

However, Facebook viewers got curious about these pictures and made a research. One viewer commented that it is a mermaid. Another commented, the photo is fake and it is a wax figure of a character from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides.



Whether the real life  Medusa or a mermaid, real or fake, there was no further details on when and where these photos were taken.




Moreover, according to scientists, 95% of our ocean is still unexplored. So we’ll never know, few years from now, we could prove that mermaid really exist or there are new creatures to be discovered.
