In this video, a hungry guy kindly asks some strangers in a food court if they can share or give him portion of their meal. Unfortunately, no one grants his request and even a bit of food was not given. 
A group of friends started this social experiment and Kameron Pollock was one of them. He said that it came from an inspiration when he watched a similar video made by Sam Pepper, a YouTube prankster, about a homeless guy sharing his pizza selflessly to a man who he never knows.

A Masterpiece that can be Proud of by all the Filipinos.



World class short films are not only made by foreign countries but also the Philippines has something to offer when it comes to this form of entertainment. Filipino suspense-thriller Qwerty is probably the best short film posted in youtube, a masterpiece that can be proud of by all the Filipinos.

Unfortunately, only few people were lucky to discover this hidden gem online due to poor publicity. It was uploaded 3 years ago but only gained almost 5K hits. It will be a waste if this film won’t be notice by more audience. Try to give time for this film because it is really worth your time.

Qwerty is a short Filipino suspense-thriller film written and directed by Paolo Dy. As seen in the video’s description, this film is about a mentally-afflicted young man accused of murdering his longtime benefactor. The truth of what really happened lies in his mad obsession with his supposed victim's old typewriter, on which he types relentlessly, day and night.

Tragic Field Trip in Bulacan

Tragic field trip meant to exempt Bulacan students from final exams.
 
The Bulacan State University students that participated in the field trip that turned tragic on Tuesday were told that they would be exempted from their final examinations if things went well during the excursion, one of the survivors has said.

However, no teacher was with the group of students who were washed away by a sudden flash flood when they were crossing Madlum River in San Miguel, Bulacan that fateful day.  Seven students were killed. 
 
Meanwhile, the Commission on Higher Education earlier said the Bulacan State University may have been careless in following procedures when conducting a field trip. It said the school failed to submit the proper paperwork, which includes a risk assessment of the educational trip.

Before the untimely death of seven students who joined a tragic field trip facilitated by the Bulacan State University, photos of the incident were taken by some of those who were part of the school activity.
 

According to reports, nine of the students were crossing the Madlum river when raging waters from Mt. Manalmon four to five feet high suddenly swept them away.


 
The raging water drowned seven students identified as Mikhail Alcantara, Phil Rodney Alejo, Michelle Ann Rose Bonzo, Helena Marcelo, Jenette Rivera , Madel Navarro and Maiko Bartolome, all first year BSU students at the state university. Bartolome, a former member of EB Babe was earlier declared missing but her body was finally found on Thursday morning beneath logs on the riverbank. Luckily two of the students, identified as Daniel Cunanan and Thea Hernandez, survived the flash flood.The victims were reportedly among those who went to the Madlum Cave in Barangay Sibul around 2 pm. of August 19.


 
Due to the tragedy, the local government has temporarily closed the area to avoid a repeat of a similar incident.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge of Celebrities

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. It went viral throughout social media during the Northern Hemisphere summer of 2014. The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation.

ALS is a fatal disease where people lose muscle control, including the ability to speak, eat or even breathe. Life expectancy after being diagnosed is between 2-5 years and current treatment can only extend it by a few months.

The Ice Bucket Challenge saw people donate $7.3 overnight and total donations has reached a total of $22.9 million, 12 times the amount raised last year according to the ALS Association! Steven Spielberg, Justin Bieber and Bill Gates are among many celebrities pouring buckets of ice water over their heads and donating to fight Lou Gehrig’s disease, in a fundraising effort that has gone viral. Since June, several thousand people worldwide have recorded themselves getting drenched, then posted the stunt online and challenged others to do the same, or pledge USD 100 to ALS research. Many have done both, in an effort has raise millions of dollars for the ALS Association, which combats amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Guava Sprout growing in a Man's Cavity



A 36-year-old Taiwanese man with severe toothache sought help from a dentist last week. The dentist pulled out the man's wisdom tooth - and found a guava sprout growing from it. It turns out not only did the man have poor oral hygiene, his bottom wisdom tooth was missing, so after the seed got stuck, it had room to grow. It is estimated that the guava sprout was about 10 days old.
